Cost to feed 4: $15.44 ($3.86 per person)

  • Chicken Tenderloins ($4.75 for package of 8 at Walmart)
  • Prego ($2.73 at Walmart)
  • Noodles ($1.80 at Walmart)
  • Mozzarella ($2.58 for a package at Walmart)
  • Italian Panko ($1.98 at Walmart)
  • Basil ($1.60 at Walmart)

  • 1 C flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Italian Panko
  • 6-8 chicken tenderloins
  • I jar pasta sauce (I used Prego)
  • I C shredded mozzarella
  • Basil (can add oregano if desired)
  • any kind of pasta noodle

Prep Time: 20 minutes

  • thaw chicken tenderloins
  • preheat oven to 425
  • put Italian Panko in bowl
  • crack two eggs and place in separate bowl
  • put 1 C flour in gallon bag
  • After chicken is thawed, place all pieces in bag with flour and shake
  • Remove chicken from flour and roll in eggs
  • Roll chicken with flour and egg in Panko
  • Place breaded chicken in oven pan (at this point you will NOT have added the pasta sauce or mozzarella)

Cook Time: 25 minutes

  • Place pan with chicken in oven and let cook for 18 minutes
  • Remove pan from oven and rotate chicken
  • Add pasta sauce and mozzarella on top of rotated chicken
  • Sprinkle basil (and oregano) on top of mozzarella
  • Place chicken back in oven for 7 minutes
  • Remove from oven and place on any desired noodle (or eat by itself!)
  • Enjoy!
