There really is such thing as healthy pasta!
Yes, you heard me right.
Carbaholics rejoice! It’s finally here…pasta that you can eat that your body will actually thank you for.
You may see the ‘protein pasta’ that Barilla currently makes and think that this was a good way to hate yourself slightly less when you load that plate of spaghetti. You may eat noodles made of greens that are far better for you but make you sad to eat.
But if I told you that you could get protein packed pasta that tastes like pasta and looks like pasta, but is made out of a nutrition-packed legume, would you believe me?
Banza is now the only pasta that I keep in my pantry. And you better believe I keep it in all shapes and sizes.
This is by far the best kind of noodle I have ever eaten, and trust me, I’ve eaten a lot of noodles. If there is one downfall in my nutrition, it is that I tend to be a carb loader.

Banza is made of chickpeas. You heard me, chickpeas. And when I say chickpeas, I don’t mean enriched wheat flour, durum flour, niacin, riboflavin, and then a dash of chickpeas that may or may not be real.
I mean actual chickpeas. There are only four ingredients on their box: chickpeas, tapioca, pea protein, and xanthin gum.

To put this “impasta” to the ultimate test, I made this one night for dinner for my brother (an adamant hater of all things healthy). I recall at one point during the meal he even asked me why I had a strange and devious smile on my face.
When I told him he was eating chickpeas, he laughed. He said, “no Katie, this is pasta”. As if I were the dumb one now. He hasn’t missed a Banza meal since.
